Cuphead: The Delicious Last Course

Cuphead

Cuphead: Don’t Deal With The Devil released and came to be known as a major indie success story, distinguished by its brutal difficulty and retro 1930s American cartoon aesthetic. While retro aesthetics are not new in games, particularly in dystopias, nothing captured quite the niche and identity that Cuphead aimed for. Cuphead: The Delicious Last Course is an expansion pack for the game that will feature a returning character going by the name “Ms. Chalice” in this DLC pack, along with an entirely new island, featuring new bosses and levels. The Delicious Last Course will release this year and also be the last update to the main game, but hopefully we will see more from the franchise in the future.

And that concludes our review of games to look forward to on Xbox consoles in 2019. If we missed a game that you are looking forward to, be sure to let us know in the comments. The games noted above represent a wide swath of genres and gaming experiences, which speak to the health and attractiveness of the Xbox brand, and also speak to the ability of smaller studios to succeed even if the gaming industry can be highly competitive.
