David Vaughn – Resident Evil 7
Though Smith didn’t exactly fit the nature of Batman, his gruff voice was pretty good for Resident Evil poster boy Chris Redfield. Smith would voice Redfield in Resident Evil 5, 6 and even in Marvel vs. Capcom Infinite, the last being fairly horrible but still. In Resident Evil 7, Smith was replaced by David Vaughn who offered up a more contemporary rendition of Redfield. Which is a nice way of saying he didn’t sound like a jock half the time. But some people miss the jock so it’s understandable to not exactly appreciate this “new” Chris Redfield.
