It’s been more than 18 years since Resident Evil 4 was released to excellent critical and commercial reception, and while the gameplay has mostly held up despite its age – a fresh coat of paint is all that’s needed to repurpose this classic to a modern audience. Capcom is currently hard at work on a full-fledged remake of Resident Evil 4 which will be built using its in-house RE Engine. In addition to the visual changes, this remake will feature modernized gameplay along with a reimagined storyline – so veteran players might also get something out of this experience. It releases for PS4, PS5, Xbox Series X/S, and PC on 24 March 2023.
