HALO INFINITE REVEAL BOTCH

343 Industries had been billing Halo Infinite as the soft reboot and reimagination that Halo has been in need of for a while now. That, combined with the fact that this was going to be the big, flagship Xbox Series X launch title meant that there were a lot of eyes on the shooter, even for a Halo game. The gameplay reveal in July, however, turned out to be a major disappointment. On top of Infinite essentially just looking like more Halo (but this time in slightly larger environments), its substandard visuals were also criticized widely. To their credit, 343 Industries and Microsoft responded to the backlash promptly, and ended up delaying the game to 2021 not long after the gameplay reveal.
