STAR THEORY GAMES CLOSURE
Kerbal Space Program 2’s development shifted from Star Theory Games (who made the first game) to an in-house studio called Intercept Games at Take-Two early on in 2020, but months later, it turned out that that transition was quite ugly. Take-Two Interactive reportedly took the project from Star Theory while development was still ongoing, and ended up poaching a large chunk of the staff that had been working on the game for its new studio. Star Theory were reportedly caught off-guard by this sudden shift, and that abrupt transition ended up leading to the studio’s closure.
