Apple’s 30% revenue cut for all developers on iOS and the closed-off nature of iOS in general have been criticized by many in the industry over the years, but this year, things truly came to a head- resulting in what has turned into the stupidest and most long-drawn high profile legal battle this industry has witnessed in a while. From Epic Games coming out with an embarrassing social media campaign to garner support against Apple to Apple attempting (and failing) to essentially ban all of Unreal Engine from iOS, neither side has conducted itself very well… and there seems to be no end in sight right now.
