One only needs to look at Sunset Overdrive to get a sense of how well put-together Insomniac’s more zany open world games can be- and that kind of an approach would be perfect for Ratchet and ClankSunset (and Spider-Man, of course) lived and died by its traversal, and so, too, could Ratchet. Think of the impressive creativity that Insomniac showcase with the weapons in each Ratchet and Clank game- now imagine the same level of creativity and wackiness being applied to traversal-related items. Add to that the prospect of having access to multiple open world maps across different planets, with each having its own unique visual look, atmosphere, and mechanics, and this prospect becomes even more enticing.
