5. Ninja Gaiden Sigma – Alma
This instalment of the Ninja Gaiden series was insanely hard. That level of exigent work was demanded whilst battling some lousy regular gun lugging cretins. The fights in the game deserve an exclusive distinction of surpassing the ‘insanely hard’ hallmark set earlier by the game. One of the fighters in the game was Alma, and one look at her would tell you that she’d heralded by the High Priestess of some light forsaken tower of the Underworld as one of its kind grotesque looking, butt whooping witch sister who looked like a product of some skewed genetic experiment.
But that was the beauty of the fight with Alma. All her hideousness was accompanied by an equally appalling arsenal of attacks and powers. Those gruelling moments of dodging her attacks just to get a window to land a strike on her was what kept our nimble Ninja scuttling on its feet. Those long minutes of somersaulting and blade slashing were etched permanently in our memories as we heaved a sigh of relief when Alma fell.
