1. Double Dragon II – The Mysterious Warrior

After Marian’s death, the Lee brothers are set to avenge her death. After grappling our way through the game, landing nasty upper cuts and super knees to the jaws of brutes, we come towards the end of the game in search of the one who killed Marian. As we approach the end, Billy and Jimmy Lee are faced with their doppelgangers. And after defeating our own apparitions do we finally find the mysterious Warrior who was behind Marian’s death.

The fight with the warrior is quite an antsy one with the enigmatic warrior being master of illusion, rendering himself invisible and delivering blow after blow from thin air. Unless in the hands of an NES meister, fighting the Mysterious Warrior was quite a struggle but at the end, there descends Merian. Oddly mystifying it was, and fully satisfying.
