BATMAN: ARKHAM CITY- JOKER’S DEATH

It is never easy to see the death of a protagonist, but who could have thought that seeing the main antagonist of a game die could be this impactful? It is something that you expect, something that you want to happen. Why, then, did it leave such an imprint on fans when The Joker died at the end of Arkham City? Well, quite simply, because it’s The Joker. The Clown Prince of Crime is synonymous with Batman, the yin to his yang, and there’s something strangely infectious about his manic, psychopathic personality, in spite of all the horrifying things he insists on doing. Mark Hamill’s performance only made him even more magnetic and charismatic as a villain, and to see him actually die at the end was a truly shocking moment.
