GEARS OF WAR 3- DOM’S SACRIFICE
The brotherly bond between Marcus Fenix and Dom had been built up very well over the course of three games, and Dom was perhaps one of the only and most well developed characters in the entire series. We knew his tragic backastory, we knew what drove him forward, and that is probably why his death shook us so badly. Dom’s final moments were handled masterfully in Gears of War 3, as he sacrificed himself in desperate circumstances. The direction of the cutscenes, the dialogue, the way Marcus reacted to everything and the music all worked in perfect symphony to deliver a truly moving moment.
