Origin of the Inklings – Splatoon
Behind the cool and colorful vibe of Splatoon is a story of, well, the end of the world. As it turns out, due to sea levels rising, humanity and other ground-dwelling species have been wiped out. Squids would evolve to become the dominant species with two major factions emerging – Inklings and Octarians. It wouldn’t be long before the two faced off in the Great War with the Inklings emerging victorious and the Octarians relegated to the underground (before returning in the first game’s story).
