Playing as the great and terrible Bowser in a Mario & Luigi RPG was certainly a power trip, and a fantastic continuation after players felt rather let down by the second game. Apparently Nintendo doesn’t talk about the second game either, given they skipped remaking it. The Koopa King could throw his weight around to great effect, but the Dark Star would steal that power for itself, giving rise to Dark Bowser. The clash between them, throwing punches, spiky shells and even their own minions against each other, is set against the single greatest piece of music created for the series, “In the Final”
