Hot take: Almost every weapon in The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild would be ineffective in real life. That’s because they’ll break after a set number of uses. Yes, some weapons have increased durability but they still wear down much faster than your average sword or bow. Heck, even the great Master Sword has a limited amount of “energy” after which it must be recharged (unless you have the Master Trials DLC). So while that Great Flamesword or Ice Rod can be fairly powerful, they’re reduced to nothing in a short matter of time.
