The Sorcerer – Shadow of the Colossus
How does a boss fight only game deliver a final boss that tops all those that has come before it? Well, the real answer is that it doesn’t. Shadow of the Colossus is fondly remembered for its lumbering bosses, each of which had its own unique weakness and themes. Players must clamber up towering giants, shimmy down the wings of flying Titians, and even trick massive stone bulls into killing themselves.
After hours of epic, frantic battles the final conflict tasks players with making their way up a giant living tower. Like many of the games on this list, it fails to take what makes the rest of the game so fantastic and conclude it in one glorious confrontation.
