The Spiderman Connection
Since Sony essentially possessed the rights to Sam Raimi’s Spiderman film franchise at the time, it chose to brand the PlayStation 3 in the exact same font used for the movies. It wasn’t a bad move – just really weird. Eventually Sony went with a simpler PS3 logo in 2009. Chalk this up as another brilliant idea from Ken Kutaragi.
