Removed Scenes
The first Yakuza wasn’t for the squeamish but it had even more brutal scenes than were reasonably allowed for its age rating. The game was meant to include scenes where pinky fingers got chopped off, which is in keeping with the traditional punishment for Yakuza. Such scenes would be removed however and thus did Yakuza reach a wider audience.
