With highly simplified graphics and an infinite number of possibilities, Dwarf Fortress challenges you to establish a fortress and sustain it among surmounting odds. Though Dwarf Fortress includes an Adventure Mode for an RPG experience, it’s the Fortress Mode that’s the main attraction, grinding up randomly generated colonies and destroying them with brutal prejudice. Though the appeal is there, Dwarf Fortress isn’t something we’ve been rushing to relive.
