When Street Fighter 5 was first released, the fighting game community was in awe of its dumbed down mechanics. Not only were parries
easier to execute but the skill-gap as a whole felt reduced to accommodate less capable players. Which is hilarious because it’s 2018 and even as Street Fighter 5: Arcade Edition has brought all these new mechanics, we’re just terrible at it. Absolutely terrible. Chaining combos in Marvel vs. Capcom? No problem. Trying not to look bad in Street Fighter 5? Yeah, don’t ask.
