BAYEK (ASSASSIN’S CREED ORIGINS)
Assassin’s Creed as a franchise has a history of really good protagonists, from Ezio Auditore to Edward Kenway, and Bayek, the protagonist of 2017’s Origins definitely ranks high in that list. The simultaneously gentle, strong, and compassionate Medjay’s quest for revenge is unique in that it doesn’t dull his more humane aspects, and Bayek’s humour and his kindness toward decent people in general continue to shine through in the entire game, making for a protagonist that’s very easy to like, and even easier to root for.
