THE WISDOM OF THE ELDERS
This questline tells the story of the eerie backwater village of Butcher Creek, whose downtrodden inhabitants have been led to believe by a fraud of an elder that their village and the area surrounding it is cursed. The poor, brainwashed residents of Butcher Creek have lived under this assumption for so long, that even when Arthur continues to find evidence to the contrary, they refuse to believe him. It ultimately turns out that the “curse” on the village is little more than a sham orchestrated by an oiling company who wants control of the land, and that the elder has been working for the company all along. It’s a weird and unusual questline, which is exactly why it’s so memorable.
