Blu-ray discs are pretty awesome. Not only have they offered even more storage for higher end game products but they’ve enabled Ultra-HD film viewing from the comfort of your home. Ever wonder why they’re called “Blu-” ray discs though? The name refers to a blue laser that’s used to read from and record to a Blu-ray disc. The ultimate irony? It’s actually a violet-coloured laser that’s used.
