Respawning Enemies
While these aren’t as prevalent in many games, FromSoftware’s games do tend to have these enemy types – examples being the skeletons in Dark Souls or the Mibu villagers in Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice. These aren’t so hard to deal with the first time around, but they require players to constantly be on the move which hampers the exploration aspect of many of these games. Another example of this enemy type can be found in the original Resident Evil, wherein if players don’t burn a dead zombie with a lighter and gasoline – they will transform into a more powerful variant later on in the game.
