THE LAST OF US GAMEPLAY DEMONSTRATION – E3 2012
The Last of Us was a game that millions were already hyped for- the makers of Uncharted 2 working on a gritty, mature post-apocalyptic title? The premise sounded exciting- all that was left was for Sony to show the game in action and win people over. At E3 2012, that is exactly what happened. Naughty Dog took the stage and showed off a gameplay demonstration for their upcoming title, and it was glorious. It looked visually stunning, the combat and stealth looked tense and brutal, and the demo perfectly showcased how stealth and out-and-out combat were both perfectly viable options in any situation, and how the game would dynamically react to players’ actions in both situations and throw up new challenges accordingly. Anticipation surrounding The Last of Us had already been pretty high, but after E3 2012, it entered the stratosphere.
