With nearly a decade and a half having passed at this time since Shenmue 2’s launch, most series fans had come to accept the depressing fact that its cliffhanger story would never see a resolution, that there would never be a Shenmue 3. And yet, the roaring applause following the reveal of Final Fantasy 7 Remake had barely died down before that was proven wrong.
