SHENMUE 3 REVEAL – E3 2015

With nearly a decade and a half having passed at this time since Shenmue 2’s launch, most series fans had come to accept the depressing fact that its cliffhanger story would never see a resolution, that there would never be a Shenmue 3. And yet, the roaring applause following the reveal of Final Fantasy 7 Remake had barely died down before that was proven wrong. Yu Suzuki took the stage to confirm that Ryu’s story would indeed continue, that Shenmue 3 was happening, and that it was in the hands of the fans, what with the game being a Kickstarter project. The one-two punch of FF7 Remake and Shenmue 3 makes for perhaps the ten greatest minutes in E3 history.
