FINAL FANTASY 15 REVEAL – E3 2012

It was at E3 2006 that Square Enix first unveiled Final Fantasy Versus 13, and the anticipation surrounding the game was sky-high right from the very first day of its announcement. And yet, as time went on and information on the game grew scarcer and scarcer, questions about whether the game would even see the light of day became more frequent, to the point that by 2013, most people were sure that it had been cancelled. At E3 2013 though, it was confirmed that Final Fantasy Versus 13 was still very much alive- and that it had been repurposed into Final Fantasy 15. It was an exciting announcement, especially after so many years of uncertainty, while the idea of a new numbered mainline Final Fantasy title – and one planned for next-gen consoles to boot – was an inherently rousing one.
