A moment that’s seared into our memories to this day. After Microsoft’s ridiculously botched reveal of the Xbox One, where their restrictive policies surrounding always-online connections and not being able to share used games caught a ton of flak, Sony went straight for their jugular. Not only did they announce that the PS4 would be perfectly capable of functioning offline and that it could run used games, they also decided to rub salt into Microsoft’s fresh wounds by showing a short, sweet, and hilarious “instructional video” for how used game sharing would work on the new console. That moment set the tone for the entire generation to come.
