Baldur’s Gate 3
I’ve spent a little over 100 hours with Baldur’s Gate 3 and felt like I only scratched the surface of its storytelling potential. The tale of halting an Illithid uprising and removing the tadpoles from my party is compelling, interspersed with memorable choices and moments, gorgeous locales, and stellar quest design. The combat, with its dizzying array of choices and combinations, with reactive environments that encourage improvisation, is simply amazing. But even with my happy ending, I still want to return and spin another yarn or two, if only to taste adventure once more.
