Flak Cannon – Unreal Tournament
If Doom and Quake had the Super Shotgun, then Unreal had the Flak Cannon. Its iteration in Unreal Tournament was simply stellar, doling out a spread of eight shrapnel shards per shot. The alt fire was great for nailing enemies at range – it essentially fired a flak grenade that explodes into five sharpnels, dealing some pretty hefty damage. All in all, a versatile weapon that could work with a number of playstyles.
