Sonic All-Stars Racing Transformed
Sonic’s spin-offs tend to be a little hit or miss, especially when it comes to racing titles like Sonic R (despite the incredible music) and Sonic Riders. However, Sega struck gold with Sumo Digital’s Sonic and Sega All-Stars Racing, offering a great kart racing experience and an alternative to Mario Kart. Sonic and All-Stars Racing Transformed is even better. Vehicles could now transform between car, plane and boat modes depending on the levels, changing up the gameplay significantly throughout each track.
New weapons and tracks, World Tour mode with its branching paths and challenges, vehicle modifications, and much more made for a rich experience, Of course, having such a deep roster of characters from Sega’s IPs, from Sonic, Knuckles and Amy to NiGHTs, AiAi and MeeMee from Super Monkey Ball and more was also great.
