But of course, Knights of the Old Republic isn’t the only space opera BioWare have ever done- because once they moved on from that license, they decided to create a Star Wars of their own. The Mass Effect games were brimming with new things to explore in all corners of the galaxy, going to different worlds and learning about the histories and past of so many alien races. The fact that you could spend a good couple of hours doing nothing but reading the codex entries should tell you about how richly detailed that universe is.
