ALIEN: ISOLATION
It’s not hard to believe that some people find Alien: Isolation so terrifying that they absolutely refuse to play it- it really isn’t. Isolation captures the terror and the atmosphere of the classic movies perfectly, and it pits you against an enemy that feels almost too overpowered most of the times. This isn’t a game about sneaking and attacking- this is a game about fleeing and hiding. You always have to keep moving, as the Xenomorph is constantly hunting you, and the very act of moving and potentially exposing yourself in and of itself is absolutely terrifying, most of which is thanks to the Xenomorph’s excellent AI. Alien: Isolation is a tense, frightening, thrilling game, and though it’s fair to say that it isn’t for everyone, if you’re a fan of the stealth genre, you owe it to yourself to experience it at least once.
