Red Dead Redemption
For an open-world title from Rockstar, which had established a strong formula with its GTA series, Red Dead Redemption 2 was something special. It was slower-paced but more contemplative, with an emotional storyline and one of the most heart-rending scenes in gaming history. As players followed John Marston, the world came alive with activities, random events, NPCs, and wild animals. Add a morality system and multiplayer for up to 16 players, and it became one of the best games of all time.
