If there’s one thing that can be said about Nioh, it’s that has no problem punishing you harshly. Nioh is a difficult game even at the best of times, and enemies can often take you out in a single hit. The skilled player will soon learn how to avoid that fate- and even if they fail, they will know how to avoid it the next time. It’s a game that, much like Dark Souls, forces players to tailor their combat style to the enemies they’re facing, rather than encouraging them to progress using nothing but brute force.
