Siren (2004)

Keiichiro Toyama is making a comeback with Bokeh Studio’s Slitterhead. But before this, he was responsible for the Siren series. Debuting in 2004, the first game featured a cast of characters doing everything to survive against the terrifying Shibito, relying on sightjacking to see and hear things from the perspective of others. Stealth is essential, especially since the Shibito can’t be killed, along with coordinating between different characters. Focused more on atmosphere, Siren was also well known for its use of human faces on character models, which further accentuated the horror.
