PUBG Corp – PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds
Bluehole and Brendan Greene struck gold with PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds. What should have been relegated to the annals of Steam for its bugs and poor visuals became a massive success, perhaps the single best selling exclusive of 2017 (before it came to Xbox One, that is). PUBG Corp, a subsidiary of Bluehole, was formed to take care of the game but it made incredibly slow progress in optimizing the experience. A lame Season Pass, potentially charging for Custom Matches, the same numerous bugs and issues persisting more than a year later – to say that PUBG Corp is still going through the wringer would be an understatement. Still, the developer is making efforts to improve as the recent “Fix PUBG” initiative showcases.
