Telltale Games – The Walking Dead: Michonne, Game of Thrones, Minecraft: Story Mode

From the outset, Telltale Games had it made. The Walking Dead: Season 1 was a massive success. The Wolf Among Us and Tales From the Borderlands were even better. The Walking Dead: Season 2 was pretty good, though not as much as the first one. However, as time went by, the studio started working massively overtime for its numerous projects. Employees who wanted to try different things were shouted down. Leadership as a whole was toxic, leading to several staff members leaving and finding success elsewhere. This went on for almost three years and Telltale became a joke as its titles continued to falter. Fortunately, in 2017, leadership had changed. The company was restructured with a focus on fewer releases but more development time and quality devoted to them. What could have ended in disaster ultimately saw Telltale making a decent comeback.
