Ubisoft Massive – The Division

The Division’s launch wasn’t just strong – it displaced Destiny as the biggest new IP launch ever in 2016. From there, however, Ubisoft Massive was beset by bug reports, end-game concerns and a declining player base that simply hated the approach taken with rewards and difficulty. The developer recognized this and offered a complete makeover with update 1.4. Things seemed to be going well…until update 1.6 aka Last Stand which nerfed armour among other changes. Following the game’s one year anniversary, players were concerned about no more content or substantial reasons to stay on. Massive delivered some decent content with update 1.7 but it wasn’t until update 1.8 that the game truly felt like it was in a great place again.
