Ubisoft knew full well that players would take to the standout music levels seen in Rayman Legends, remixing cheesy classics like Eye of the Tiger and Black Betty into the adorably wacky world of Rayman with huge set pieces and providing a fun interlude between worlds. But the bonus world at the endgame, Living Dead Party hopes to turn that love into something else completely. The entire world is comprised of reprises of the levels with the songs now in 8-bit style, and the huge caveat that the screen become distorted with an obnoxious effect for each song because “difficulty”. If you somehow manage to squint through the reprised stages, one brand new one awaits…With each and every one of the previous filters taking effect to destroy what’s left of your eyeballs.
