FACIAL MODELS AND ANIMATIONS
Horizon Zero Dawn caught a lot of slack for what many of its characters’ faces looked like (especially in the side quests), and even more so for how poor their animations tended to be. Guerrilla clearly took those criticisms to heart, because Forbidden West knocks the ball out of the park in that area. Characters’ facial models are incredibly detailed, and the way they animate is, for the most part, top-notch (especially for an open world game).
