The Operative: No One Lives Forever
It’s crazy to think that this swinging ’60s-esque first-person shooter inspired by spy adventures like Avengers, Danger: Diabolik, and more was initially a sequel to Shogo: Mobile Armor Division. The Operative: No One Lives Forever sees players as Cate Archer, a spy for UNITY who ventures to exotic locales to halt the nefarious schemes of HARM. Go loud or sneak about, deploying sleeping glass in a perfume bottle and robotic poodles to distract guard dogs. With its variety of missions, excellent sense of humor, and groovy soundtrack, NOLF still holds up today as a stellar first-person experience.
