7. Everybody’s Gone to the Rapture
Say what you want about The Chinese Room, but they make interesting games with unique premises, and their latest, Everybody’s Gone to the Rapture, looks to continue that trend. The game, which is a spiritual successor to Dear Esther, takes place in the small village in Shropshire during the apocalypse, and features six playable characters with intertwining stories. It will also feature more interaction that its spiritual predecessor, and players can even purportedly change how the story plays out as they go along. Sounds like a good way to spend the end of the world to me.
