Halo 5: Guardians

Halo is a series that needs no introduction, but I should probably give it one anyway. This is the series that saved the Xbox and defined online multiplayer on consoles, and is, to this day, widely considered to be one of the best and most important FPS franchises of all time. Working on a Halo title means measuring up to an immense legacy, and 343 Industries knows this better than anyone. Their last take on the franchise didn’t live up to Bungie’s previous outings in the eyes of most fans, so the studio has a lot to prove with Halo 5. Many people, myself included, are still skeptical of the changes 343 is bringing to Halo’s core gameplay, but things appear to be going much better this time around, at least based on what we’ve seen so far. Let’s hope that this time, they knock it out of the park.
