Horse Armour – The Elder Scrolls 4: Oblivion
When Bethesda first released Horse Armour DLC for The Elder Scrolls 4: Oblivion, many saw it as an affront. Costing $2.50, it was viewed as a terrible example of in-game monetization back then. Even if the armour isn’t as bad as today’s microtransaction prices, the sheer mod support available meant you didn’t have to get it at all. It really makes you question why Bethesda even has the Creation Club nowadays, especially when modders can provide arguably better quality cosmetics for free.
