9S – Nier Automata

At the end of Route C in Nier: Automata, you’re given a choice to play as either 9S or A2 to fight the other in a final battle. The two characters finally come to a head and if you choose A2 then, well, 9S doesn’t die. Instead, A2 hacks his mind and removes the logic virus driving him insane. From there, Pod 042 saves 9S while A2 sacrifices her life to destroy the machines’ tower. Unfortunately, like the first ending, it isn’t meant to be.
