As disappointing as the single-player Operations were, CrossfireX doesn’t disappoint in the visual department (aesthetics aside). Remedy’s Northlight Engine shines again with its particles, atmospheric lighting, explosions and real-time shadows. Despite their generic appearances, character models also look good with realistic clothing and textures. The entire endeavor is a waste, sure, but it’s a pretty-looking waste.
