MARIO KART 9
A new 3D Mario game is not the only major Nintendo release that’s long overdue. No, a new Mario Kart title is, in fact, even more so. Mario Kart 8 Deluxe launched back in 2017, but that, of course, was only a re-release. The last new release in the series, Mario Kart 8, was in 2014, more than a decade ago. Whether or not the next Mario Kart will be there at the Switch 2’s launch remains to be seen- we think there’s a high chance that it is, unless a new 3D Mario takes its place. Either way, whichever of the two isn’t a launch title is very, very likely to release before the year is over nonetheless, which means an announcement is extremely likely to happen in the near future.
