With an open world that’s fully underwater, the game grabs hold right from the get go with its unique premise, but then it constantly keeps building on that excellent first impression on well. Subnautica’s world is full of beautiful alien sights, full of majestic and terrifying aquatic creatures, full of foreboding depths that are as terrifying as they are alluring. It’s one of the most distinct and unique open worlds you will ever explore in a game.
