Kojima Productions’ open world action adventure is an interesting case when one considers ultrawide monitors. Though the PC version shipped with “true” 21:9 aspect ratio support, it’s different from the 2560×1080 or 3440×1440 resolutions. This causes small black bars to appear on the sides of the display. Thankfully, there are fixes available and they allow for enjoying the sweeping Icelandic vistas and harsh snowstorms with great aplomb.
