Another World
Eric Chahi’s platforming adventures are the stuff of legend with Another World arguably being his best. It’s also incredibly unique in the sheer number of things that can kill you within the first few minutes. Exhibit A: You’ve just arrived in a mysterious new world and encounter a worm-like thing crawling on the ground. Get too close and it will nick you slightly, resulting in death. Better kill it and several others. Now run from that massive beast that wants you dead. And don’t wave at those tall black-robed guards with laser rifles that also want you dead. And so on.
